Day 90...Work Day 33

It's hard to believe our construction started 90 days ago!

We are thankful that the weather is now cooperating much better than it did in the beginning. We had many snow, rain, ice, and sleet days that kept the construction crews from being able to do some important first steps like laying cement.

So, today will be the last day we reference how many days it has been since the construction began. Instead, we will attempt to keep track of progress by the number of days of actual construction. Any day that the crews are not here due to the weather, holidays, Sundays, and so forth will not be counted.

I feel this will give a more accurate representation to how fast our building is being put together. In places like Indiana you never know how the weather will affect construction. It's even possible we may have more snow ahead of us (Let's pray that's not the case).

Counting "work days" will also give a better testament to the quality and quantity of work that is being done by Sproles Corp. As Sue Duckwall stated Sunday morning, everytime the weather cooperates she is able to look out her window and see the crew working long hours to get this project done as soon as humanly possible. We want to give Sproles' crew a fair representation of the speed and quality of their work, and right now we have no real complaints.

I also want to be clear that just because there isn't a post for a specific day does not mean that the crew wasn't here. I will try to update at least 2 times a week so you have a general idea of the construction progress. Daily updates would be overkill.

Looking back, I am estimating that this is work day number 33.

Phil
